Fibromyalgia , meaning pain in fibrous tissue, is a chronic condition which shows symptoms of fatigue, stiffness and pain. This is very close to arthritis and similar autoimmune diseases and they also lead to the occurring of this condition. Medication wise doctors usually suggest that the patient take milnacipran or duloxetine. Also suggested are anti-seizure drugs – the likes of pregabalin and gabapentin.

Dieting right can also take the treatment of fibromyalgia a long way. Must includes are fruits, grains, vegetables, fish, chicken, lentils, beans, dairy foods and such with plenty of water to go along with it. Water must be drunk even apart from the meals throughout the day to avoid dehydration. Fruit juices too do the trick. Food to avoid that will make your fibromyalgia worse is very fatty food, food with artificial sweeteners, caffeine, carbonated drink and anything that has a high calorie count. Smoking badly worsens the condition so if you are an addict then stay off it or try to reduce as much as possible. Glutten free food has helped most people barring a few.

Following the dietary rules, it has been noticed that it works as natural medicine but it works over a period of time. Even then, one must attempt to sleep regular hours so that they get rest which works against the fibromyalgia. Alcohol or caffeine is a no-no before hitting the sack.
